Statewide Honor Roll!

Posted Date: 06/19/2024

Two La Porte ISD elementary campuses – Leo A. Rizzuto and Lomax – have been named to the 2023-24 Education Results Partnership Honor Roll for high achievement and student success.

The program, sponsored by the Institute for Productivity in Education, is part of a national effort to identify higher-performing schools and districts that are improving student outcomes.  Lomax and Rizzuto received recognition for demonstrating consistent high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement levels over time, and a reduction in achievement gaps among student populations. About 12 percent of Texas schools made the ERP Honor Roll.

“We are incredibly proud of the remarkable achievements of Lomax and Leo A. Rizzuto in making the statewide honor roll,” said La Porte ISD Superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and excellence demonstrated by our students and staff. It reflects our commitment to providing a world-class education and fostering an environment where every student can thrive.“
