Welcome to La Porte ISD’s 2025-26 registration website. 

Below you will find two registration options based on your student’s current status.

If your student is new to La Porte ISD or are registering from outside the La Porte ISD school zone for the first time, please choose the New to La Porte option.

All current La Porte ISD students will choose the Annual Returning Student Verification option.

PreK & Transfers

Anyone interested in registering for Pre-K in La Porte ISD will need to contact our Academics Department at 281-604-7030 for more information on how to start the enrollment process.

Looking to change campuses next year? In-district transfer applications will be available coming this April. Check with your current campus front office for more information.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The student must have a record of prompt and regular attendance.
  • The student must demonstrate good behavior in their current school.

Important Notes:

  • Transfers are subject to space availability and are not guarenteed.
  • Transfer status could be revoked if attendance and behavior do not meet district expectations.
  • Students who are part of an educational program that requires a specific campus placement are exempt from applying for a transfer.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Registration Requirements:

    To be eligible to register as a student in La Porte ISD, all students must present the following documentation during registration:

    • Proof of Residency – Recent utility bill (water, gas, light) or a lease agreement with parent/guardian’s name and address on it. (copy)

    • Official Birth Certificate (copy)

    • Immunization Records – Including 4yr old vaccines (copy)

    • Social Security Card (copy)

    • Parent/Guardian ID (copy)

    Students enrolling in Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) must also present the following documents to verify program eligibility:

    • PK Application

    • Proof of Income – last three check stubs

    •  PK Transportation Bus Form (if applicable)

     

    Early Childhood Enrollment

  • La Porte ISD schools have partnered with Champions for Before/After School care at our elementary school campuses.

    Champions provides low cost programs for families within La Porte ISD.

  • Students Transferring From Accredited Private Schools

    Credit for courses transferred from an accredited private school are awarded as-is. 

     

    Students Transferring From Unaccredited Private Schools

    • Elementary school placement shall be determined through a review of course work, student work products, and assessment.

    • Middle school course placement shall be determined through a review of course descriptions, student work products, or through the administration of a credit-by-exam or comparable assessment.

    • High school course credit: Credit for a high school credit course shall be determined through a credit-by-exam. The passing standard on a credit-by-exam for a course with prior instruction is a 70 or above.

     

    Students Transferring From Home Schools

    Home schools are not accredited or regulated by any state agency in Texas or commission.  According to the Texas Commissioner of Education, students transferring from home schools should be afforded the same treatment as students transferring from unaccredited private schools.
