Student Code of Conduct

Student Code of Conduct

House Bill 114, passed into law by the Texas Legislature to promote a safer learning environment, requires severe disciplinary consequences for any student found in possession, use, or contact with any type of Vape/e-cigarette including Nicotine or THC. Such actions will result in a mandatory placement in the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) per law. It is vital to understand that DAEP placement prohibits the students from UIL participation and/or prohibits attendance of the district’s extracurricular activities for any reason during the duration of the placement. These tough measures are not only the law, but we also want to send a strong message that vaping by underage users at school is unacceptable. As always, thank you for partnering with us to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment. Click here to read H.B. 114.
