The Portrait of a Graduate defines the knowledge, skills, and character traits that every La Porte ISD student should embody upon graduation. It reflects our shared vision of preparing students not only for academic success, but for purposeful, fulfilling lives of service, leadership, and lifelong learning.

Grounded in our district’s values of honor, integrity, pride, and legacy, this profile represents the collective aspirations of our schools, families, and community. It serves as a roadmap to guide teaching, learning, and student development from the earliest grades through graduation—ensuring that every student leaves La Porte ISD ready to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Our graduates are Academically and Technologically Prepared, equipped with strong foundations and digital fluency to solve complex problems. They are Effective Communicators and Collaborators who share ideas with clarity and respect diverse perspectives. As Responsible and Respectful Citizens, they act with integrity and contribute positively to their communities. La Porte ISD Graduates are:

Our Graduates demonstrate strong academic foundations and digital fluency. They think critically, solve complex problems, and are well-prepared for success in college, career, or military pathways.

La Porte Graduates:
