La Porte ISD hosts first-ever Career and Technical Education Signing Day

La Porte ISD on May 18 held its first-ever Career and Technical Education Signing Day, celebrating students who have committed to pursuing post-secondary education and training pathways leading to careers in CTE-related fields.
Modeled after National Signing Day for student-athletes, the event recognized students across multiple career pathways who are continuing their education at colleges, universities, technical institutes, or entering the workforce in fields aligned with their programs of study. The celebration highlighted the district’s commitment to preparing students for college, career, and military readiness through hands-on learning and industry-focused programs.
District leaders, staff, and families gathered to honor students’ achievements and future plans, marking a milestone event for La Porte ISD and its Career and Technical Education program.
La Porte ISD plans to continue expanding opportunities that connect students with real-world skills and meaningful post-secondary pathways.
