Eight La Porte High School student-athletes have qualified for the Region III 5A Track & Field Championships following their performance in the Area meet on April 9.  

GIRLS REGIONAL QUALIFIERS 

- Aryssa Rodriguez- 1st in the 300 hurdles; 3rd in the 100 hurdles;  
- Savonya Collins- 1st in the 800;   
- Gianna Palomarez- 3rd in the 3200; 4th in the 1600 
- Jordyn Ramirez- 4th in the high jump;  
- Kallie Vaughn- 4th in the pole vault 
- Aryssa Rodriguez, Jordyn Ramirez, Jakayla Glover, & Savonya Collins - 2nd in the 4x400 

BOYS REGIONAL QUALIFIERS 

- Ulises Feliz- 1st in the 110 hurdles & 2nd in the 300 hurdles 
- Roy Ramirez- 3rd in the 800  

Additionally, the La Porte High School Girls Track & Field Team placed fourth overall at the Area meet. The Regional meet is scheduled for April 18-19 at Challenger Columbia Stadium in Webster.
