Bulldogs Awarded $5K Grant by Alum Terrel Bernard, Buffalo Bills and USA Football
The La Porte Bulldogs Football Team has been awarded a $5,000 grant from USA Football, the Buffalo Bills and Terrel Bernard. The grant is a credit toward new equipment from Riddell, USA Football’s official protective equipment partner.
Each week during the NFL regular season and playoffs, one NFL player is awarded for their excellent playing technique. Bernard was awarded the $5,000 grant for his performance in the NFL Divisional Playoff.
“We appreciate USA Football, Terrel Bernard, and the Buffalo Bills for the generous grant to our football program,” said La Porte Bulldogs Head Football Coach Kevin Berneathy. “Terrel is a true Bulldog who always has given back to our program, and all of Bulldog Nation is proud of his accomplishments. This grant will be used to keep our players in the best equipment possible.”
Bernard, a 2017 La Porte High School graduate, played college football at Baylor University, where he was a Sugar Bowl Defensive MVP. He is a linebacker for the Buffalo Bills.
