Eleven La Porte ISD junior high students have been selected to the Texas Music Educators Association Region 19 All-Region Choir.  

The auditions were held October 25-26 at Pearland Junior High West. More than 1,200 students from the region tried out for the honor choir.

The All-Region clinic and concert will be held Nov. 9 at Deer Park High School South. Connor McCowan and Morgan Hanson are the choir directors at La Porte Junior High and Lomax Junior High, respectively.
