Thirty-one LPHS students named AP Scholars

Thirty-one La Porte High School students, including some recent graduates have been honored as AP Scholars. Additionally, two students earned the AP Capstone Diploma, which helps students develop critical thinking, research, collaboration, and presentation skills that are essential to academic success.

AP Capstone is a College Board diploma program that's based on two yearlong AP courses: AP Seminar and AP Research. The program provides student-centered learning while incorporating performance-based assessments. Both courses prepare students for college and career success through the development of critical thinking, academic research, collaboration, presentation, and time management skills.
