Danny Hanks

Danny Hanks is a proud 1997 graduate of La Porte High School who has deep roots in his community. He married his high school sweetheart, Dana, also an LPHS alum, and together they have nurtured a family deeply intertwined with the La Porte Independent School District. Their daughters, Madisyn and Kaylee, continue the family tradition, with Madisyn set to graduate from Texas A&M University in May 2025, and Kaylee graduating from LPHS the same month.

Professionally, Danny has dedicated 26 years to a local restaurant group, rising through the ranks to become an Executive Officer. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding the company from two units to twenty full-service locations, three counter-service brands, and employing 2,800 team members.

Beyond his career, Danny is a cornerstone of community involvement. He was a founding member of the Becoming a Man program (BAM) and plays an active role in the annual La Porte High School Musical, Chato Spring Show, and various booster clubs. His commitment to the La Porte community extends to his Church, the Tex-Mex Legacy Foundation, and LPSportsnet (LPSN), where he works late into the night behind the scenes. This unique student-led broadcast journalism program covers varsity sports and special events, allowing Danny to give back and promote his alma mater. Through his venture with his brother, Hanks&Hanks, Danny provides on-air commentary and promotes all things La Porte Bulldogs on their social media platforms. The Hanks family's connection to LPISD is extensive, with Danny’s mother and mother-in-law each serving the district for over 25 years, alongside his five siblings, wife, daughters, and numerous nieces and nephews. The Hanks family remains a steadfast and influential presence in La Porte ISD the La Porte community. Danny joined the Board in 2022.
