Jennie Reid Elementary receives prestigious CREST Award for excellence in counseling
Jennie Reid Elementary School has earned the prestigious CREST Award 2024 for outstanding counseling services.
This is the second consecutive year for the school to be honored.
The CREST Award evaluates the counseling program in five key categories, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of its excellence.
Presented by the Texas School Counseling Association, the accolade recognizes the school's commitment to effective communication and positive student outcomes across academic, career, and social-emotional realms.
“I am incredibly proud of Jennie Reid Elementary School for earning the prestigious CREST Award,” said Superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson. “This recognition reflects the outstanding quality and commitment to excellence that defines our district.”
Jennie Reid Counselor Danielle Knight explained that the award is the culmination of a schoolwide effort aimed at advancing campus counseling services.
“I am proud and grateful that our campus and school district have earned this recognition for a second year in a row,” Knight said. “Our school counseling program grows and glows from the work of not only a school counselor, but also the support and efforts from the school family, our school district, and our community.
