Mason Peres was elected to the La Porte ISD Board of Trustees in May 2023. A La Porte High School graduate, Mason holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management and a master's degree in Business Administration from Angelo State University. He works as a commercial and public entity insurance agent in the southern Texas region. Mason is a third-generation member and past president (2023-2024) of the La Porte Rotary Club, serves on the San Jacinto College Foundation board, and is a former La Porte Education Foundation member. He is also involved with the Pasadena Livestock Show & Rodeo and the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. Active in the community, Mason chairs the Sylvan Beach Day Parade, the 4th of July Parade, and the Mardi Gras Parade in La Porte. He has two sisters currently enrolled in La Porte ISD, for whom he aims to ensure a top-notch education. Mason's board service seeks to promote and support the district's strengths through diligent oversight and leadership through collaboration and regional advocacy.
